Make Money Online in Year 2010, can you?

By Blogotise | Apr 8, 2010

Make money online, how far and how much you think that you could earn?

I just read through the news from Mashable entitled “Online Advertising Revenues Reach Record Quarterly High” moments ago. Was excited to read about the news.

I mean, there are still a lot of readers and friends questioning the possibility of make money online, especially the question about how much could be earn through online advertising network. Well, I guess it is a pretty stupid question to ask since there are so much successful cases around internet.

“The end of 2009 showed a record high in online ad spending – $6.3 billion for Q4. This is the largest amount ever spent on online advertising in a single quarter, according to the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB).”

“Search is the most traditional element of online advertising, and this sector claims 47% of online ad dollars. Display ads grew by 8% over the year, but one sector of display advertising outperformed the rest: Digital video advertising, where ad spending increased by almost 39% between 2008 and 2009.

As consumers spend more and more time on sites like YouTube , Facebook and the like — twice as much time as they spend watching TV, — advertisers and brands are paying attention to the old marketing adage, “Fish where the fish are.” ” – Mashable: Online Advertising Revenues Reach Record Quarterly High.

Title Tags SEO Tips

By Blogotise | Apr 8, 2010

The title tag is the most significant SEO in every single webpage. To be able to get results in search engines, a good title tags is more powerful than you could imagine. Well, most people doesn’t recognize that, hence making a big mistake in optimizing their blogs/sites.

So the basics rules you need to follow in writing your title tag are:

1) Starts with the most important keywords

You should always start writing your title tag with the keyword you want to rank for, and try not to use those keywords that are too competitive, general or irrelevant.

2) Limit the title tags to 65 characters maximum

65 characters are the average amount of characters that will be shown in SERPs. Anything more than that would not be displayed but instead replace by dots(….). Also, to put your keywords first would be an extra advantage because the search engine recognize the weight of the keywords in the front.

3) Consider the CTR(Click-Through Rate)

Like I said before: the title is used to rank higher, but also to entice searchers to visit. This is what we also call ‘CTR improvement’. The higher the percentage of people that click (relative to the actual position in the SERPs) the better. But always remember, besides using the title to rank higher, it is also all about visitation of readers. Hence, do not always try to insert a lot of keywords, always consider for the readers.

4) Research for the market

Remember, always check the market and also check out the competition. To check is to know what to choose for your title tag writing. You could always check the better way to improve your CTR.

Apple IPad!!!!!!!

By Blogotise | Apr 5, 2010

Apple IPad!!! Well, whenever Apple is launching some new stuff(product), it got to be something huge. Well, with the recent launching of Apple Ipad, everybody is talking about it. Different Gadget or internet news sites like Engadget are all talking about it.

Well, I was surfing through some sites and read quite some mixed reviews about Ipad. Some says it sucks, some says its absolutely gorgeous lol. Anyway these are some highlight of review from Yahoo Tech News:

- The iPad felt surprisingly heavy the first time I hefted it

-No, it’s nothing like typing on a real keyboard, but for me, the iPad’s virtual QWERTY keypad isn’t nearly as terrible as many had warned.

-Applications literally fly open, and browsing the Web on Safari is way faster than on the iPhone.

- HD videos look amazing

bla bla bla

These reviews are making me feel like want to get one IPad too LOL. How about you?

Keywords For SEO

By Blogotise | Apr 5, 2010

To do optimization for your blog, first of all the blogger need to choose and target some terms to be the keywords. The best recommendation is to get around 4 keywords that you wish to let your site to rank for, or to be known for. However, you must research and study the advantages and disadvantages for your chosen keywords before you finalize what keywords to use.

There are few categories for keywords, broad keyword and specific keyword. A broad keyword is a keyword that most people search for, this is because they may only have a rough idea of what they’re looking. Broad keywords could be something non-specific like “bags” or “money”. These keywords tends to be hard to rank at the top of search engines due to the nature of these keywords. Its hard for broad keywords to rank for but its worth it in the long run.

A specific keyword is something that contains many adjectives or words that make the search very targeted. The people doing these types of searches know exactly what they want (e.g. “used black high heel shoes”). These keywords are much less competitive and are easier to rank for on search engines. The downside is that they receive a great deal less volume of searches per month. In terms of traffic, you will need to have several top rankings for specific keywords to equal one #1 ranking broad keyword.

SEO Rules to Boost Your Sites Instantly

By Blogotise | Mar 29, 2010

1) Do not Repeat Your Title Tag In Every Page

Most of the time new launched sites are from certain template due to the ease of the creation. However, the downside for  SEO is that the Title and Meta tags are all repeated.  So, what you need to do is to change each page’s title tag to reflect what the page is about.

2)  Keywords Usage

Analyze the keyword of the search engine users  in terms of your key words and place them on your sites for best results. Also analyze your content and in course of search engine optimization find more and more content which are similar in quality and update your content from time to time. Thus you would serve the dual purpose of knowing your competitors better and more often will your website surface as a search result.

3)  Don’t Use Keywords In Images

If your keywords are embedded in images, the search engines have no clue that keyword is related to your page.  They cannot “see” your images. So make those those important keywords is in your content instead of image.

4)  Validate your Robots.txt File

Make sure it’s in the root folder of your domain.  Make sure those important content or files or folder are allowed to be accessed by  the search engine crawlers.

5)  Create an HTML Version for the Sitemap

This is to provide a easy pathway to guide the search engine crawlers to be able to crawl to all of the pages  well. You’ll be surprised of how much difference it makes in SEO.

6)  Simplicity for Your Sites

Simplicity Is Best Look at the sites that currently rank high on the search engines and you will see that have simple designs with graphics that use minimal bandwidth, and they’re easy to navigate. Simple, clean designs are what both search engine crawlers and search engine users like, as it lets them get the content they want without any fuss.

By Blogotise | Mar 23, 2010

Hi, just a short post about one of the hottest debate topic for Window 7. The latest Window 7, I believe has received quite some positive and negative views from all users. However, a lot of users might be using trial version or maybe pirated version of Window 7. Some are just trying to install on multiple PCs(single licence) for testing purpose.

Whatever that purpose is, I would like to recommend for TimerNuke to do the easy configuration to disable Window 7 activation.

1) Download TimerNuke.zip

2) Extract it

3) Double click the TimerNukeSetup file

4) A cmd window show up, press any keys to run it. Restart your machine and its done.

Introduction to SEO for Beginner Blogger

By Blogotise | Mar 23, 2010

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is often considered the more technical part of Web marketing. SEO is accomplished by optimizing certain sections or “elements” in the HTML coding of each page. Optimizing a web site for search engines can require looking at so many unique elements that many practitioners of SEO (SEOs) consider themselves to be in the broad field of website optimization.

One of the basic truths in SEO is that even if you do all the things that are necessary to do, one thing, a blogger who did SEO for their blogs are not guranteed with high ranking. However, no SEO is being done then your blog would not get noticed at all.

The aim of seo is to maximise targeted types of valuable traffic to a website from search engines by improving the visibility of said website in Google organic or unpaid SERPS.

The majority of web traffic is driven by the major commercial search engines – Yahoo!, MSN, Google & AskJeeves (although AOL gets nearly 10% of searches, their engine is powered by Google’s results). If your site cannot be found by search engines or your content cannot be put into their databases, you miss out on the incredible opportunities available to websites provided via search – people who want what you have visiting your site. Whether your site provides content, services, products, or information, search engines are a primary method of navigation for almost all Internet users.

Search queries, the words that users type into the search box which contain terms and phrases best suited to your site, carry extraordinary value. Experience has shown that search engine traffic can make (or break) an organization’s success. Targeted visitors to a website can provide publicity, revenue, and exposure like no other. Investing in SEO, whether through time or finances, can have an exceptional rate of return.

Although the basic principle of operation of all search engines is the same, the minor differences between them lead to major changes in results relevancy. For different search engines different factors are important. There were times, when SEO experts joked that the algorithms of Yahoo! are intentionally made just the opposite of those of Google. While this might have a grain of truth, it is a matter a fact that the major search engines like different stuff and if you plan to conquer more than one of them, you need to optimize carefully.

There are many examples of the differences between search engines. For instance, for Yahoo! and MSN, on-page keyword factors are of primary importance, while for Google links are very, very important. Also, for Google sites are like wine – the older, the better, while Yahoo! generally has no expressed preference towards sites and domains with tradition (i.e. older ones). Thus you might need more time till your site gets mature to be admitted to the top in Google, than in Yahoo!.
