While talking about make money blogging, SEO or monetized blog, no doubt that Google PageRank system is one of the most important and significant web ranking system that directly affect the capability or potential or quality of how well a blog can make money and optimized it’s revenue. However, it always prompt me with this question that how much or how many of the bloggers in the blogosphere actually understand about the PageRank system.

The Google PageRank system was name after and developed by Larry Page while he was researching at Stanford University and later the co-founder of Google Sergey Brin became part of this particular research project.

The PageRank is actually a link analysis algorithm that analyze the numerical weighting and measure the relative importance within the hyperlinked set of documents(in this case the World Wide Web). No doubt, the conceptual working of the system are explained and published in very overview way, nonetheless how Google actually increase or rank your blog nobody actually really know cause these are Google trade secret.

While the PageRank is an algorithm that involves with some troublesome complex mathematical probability distribution, I suggest to know the concept of how this system works conceptually rather than studying the maths behind it.

So the PageRank of any particular page is derived from the theoretical probability of visiting that page when clicking on random links. But the fact is, we the internet surfers do not actually randomly surf the web instead we go to links of our interests and intention. So the page ranking model is actually reflects the importance of particular page as a function of how many actualy visits it receives by us the internet surfers.

In short, if talking about make money online with your blog and optimize your blog revenue, it is important to have a higher PageRank as it is described as more important pages and likely to appear at top of the search results. The more visitors that come to your site, then more revenue you could generate!
